We believe that social justice requires full inclusion and participation. Many of our East Bay neighbors are not engaged with the very institutions that most impact their lives. Isolated by poverty, race, violence, or legal status, they are often excluded and have no voice.

We support organizations that identify and train leaders in underrepresented communities who have the passion and vision to influence change.  We believe that those affected by the problems in their community are the experts at solving those problems and that their leadership is essential.  And, we support organizations who work together in coalitions across sectors because their collaborations amplify the impact of organizing.
